You just wait and wait …

Just came back from Dungun where I spent the weekend attending a forum.

I really gotta say that taking a drive through Terengganu brings back so many memories ….

Like that time when I was in this eating place near Paka ordering food ……

I distinctly remember what me and my colleague ordered.

It was a simple nasi goreng and mee goreng dish.

And it took ages and I mean AGES for the dishes to be served despite there being absolutely nobody in the restaurant…..

I finally got a chance to take a picture of the restaurant’s name …

No wonder lahh …..

Hung like a ManShop

Don’t know about you but something about this sign just feels a bit wrong to me…..

Does the term ‘hung like a horse’ come to mind? Then there’s that ‘manshop’ behind it.

Okay okay…… that was pretty lame.

Just thought I’d put something up before I head over to the north of Terengganu for my BTN. Or Biro Tatanegara. I’ll be there until Sunday….

……Tata – what you say?

It’s some sort of government camp training thing…. just think of national service, but for government servants. And that includes all the jungle trekking, mountain climbing and physical activties that come with it.

Minus the icky blue marine-like uniforms those youngsters have to wear of course.

As for my fellow pharmacy colleagues, I’m pretty sure some of you already signed up ain’t it?

Well, I’ll post my experiences up here when I get back on Sunday. That’s provided I haven’t passed out from all the physical activities or fallen off a mountain or something.

I’ll see you guys in 5 days~!

Kanasai BTN~!

Blackout in KT

It Can Only Be KT, My Favourites, Plain Crazy Things, Very the Kanasaion April 7th, 20082 Comments

Came back from work the other day and was chatting with my housemates when suddenly the lights went out. *Poof*

Kanasai ….. blackout in KT = no TV, no internet = no life = no purpose to our existence

For as far as I remember, there’d never been any cases of electricity supply cuts in the apartment before. So me and my housemate started thinking …..

“Electricity bill haven’t paid yet leh…. Hmmm….”

There were a few kids out in the tarmac hanging around so we screwed up enough courage to ask them if there houses had their power cut as well.

I mean ….. paisehleh …… imagine if only our house had no electricity …. and if it was cut cause we didn’t pay the bills.

Then it’d be known that there’re 3 really cheap pharmacists who live in Wisma Tenang who don’t pay their electricity bills.

We’d be shunned from society and we’d have to live as outcasts.

Thankfully all the other houses were out as well.

So I made the best use of my time in the darkness. I whipped out my camera and started taking pictures of the blackout.

Here are some of the pictures ….

The living room

 My room

 The toilet

Erhmmm ….I feel pretty stupid now actually ….

But then abit later, we peeked outside and noticed this …

You see, the funny thing about our apartment is that they have back up generators. But those generators are only used to power up the lights along the corridors.

I think that’s quite kanasai lor.

It’s like having insurance that covers all the people around you but yourself.

Oh well ……

At least in the blackout there’re things you can do that you’d never do with the lights on, even in the privacy of your room.

 Me doing something really gross

I’ll leave it up to your imagination …..

What did you call me?

Saw this sign at one of the stalls over in the KT Chinatown that night

Somehow I get the feeling that if I had a friend with that name and called him from across the street in Chinatown, I’d never be allowed back there…

Will be going back to KL for one and a half weeks during Chinese New Year. Imagine that. A whole one and a half weeks. Imagine the things I’ll miss here in KT …….

The happening and bustling bandaraya life …

The cheerful and sunny weather ….

The precise and immaculate spelling of English words ….

The wonderfully exciting job that I love so much….

Our fully furnished kitchen with cabinets stocked with lots and lots of food …….

 The efficient traffic-jam-creating traffic policemen…..

The …..*blink*blink*

You can tell that I’m lying again can’t you ?

Anyway, a Happy Chinese New Year to all of you~! I have absolutely no idea what those Chinese words mean.

See you guys in a week …….
